The Monmouth Museum is presenting “From Plate to Paper: The Art of Printmaking,” a juried exhibition that features over 70 artworks in a variety of media that demonstrate both traditional and alternative printmaking techniques. The exhibit runs through April 28 in the main gallery of the museum, which is located on the campus of Brookdale Community College in Lincroft. “The works selected for this exhibition range from a more traditional figurative and classical orientation, to modern works that are completely experimental, abstract and conceptual,” Bruce Waldman, exhibit juror, said. “A wide variety of printmaking media is represented, including etchings, drypoints, monoprints and monotypes, woodcuts, linocuts, silkscreens, lithographs, hand-made books of prints, and mixed media prints, along with other experimental printmaking techniques and methods.”
